Doeren Pleas For Fans 9/20/12

DeKalb, Illinois-NIU plays football games against teams from major conferences every year. But it's extremely rare to get one of those teams to come to DeKalb to play the Huskies.
That changes Saturday when Kansas of the Big 12 visits DeKalb. NIU Coach Dave Doeren hopes NIU fans don't miss this opportunity.
"We'd really like to get our student body here this weekend. I think that's a big deal for them to come and support us," said Doeren. "I know that our season ticket holders will be here. But we'd like to get our students here you know in full support for this game. I don't know if I can do a rallying cry for the student body to show up, but I would love to do that. Those guys make us better our fans."
Saturday's game will kickoff at 2:30 p.m.
