Rockford -- Police make three gun arrests in unrelated incidents overnight. The first happened at around 7pm Thursday evening when police received a 'man with a gun' call. A man fled into a home when they arrived at a home in the 1500 block of Birch Court. Officers entered and arrested 29-year-old Zacarie Brown for armed violence, burglary, aggravated use of a weapon, battery, resisting arrest and other charges. A handgun was also found inside the home.
At 11pm, officers were flagged down in the parking lot of a bar at 3500 Auburn St., where they were told a man had a gun. As 51-year-old Harold McKay was approached by officers, he reportedly dropped the gun but then struggled with officers. He was arrested on charges of aggravated used of a weapon and resisting arrest.
During the arrest of McKay, officers were alerted to another man leaving the bar parking lot with a gun in his car. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and say that's when a passenger fled from the car. 42-year-old LaMark Foote was apprehended after a foot chase for aggravated use of a weapon and possession of a stolen firearm.
