Rockford- Candidates for four local statehouse seats will square off Monday in a debate over social services funding in Illinois.  The state currently ranks poorly compared to other states in social services funding, and a panel of representatives from Winnebago County Human Services will present their most crucial issues and ask officials and candidates to explain their views and proposals concerning Human Services in Winnebago County.

Candidates for Senate Districts 34 and 35 and House Districts 68 and 69 will appear at the debate.  It is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford and will be held at the Rockford College Burpee Center Grace Roper Lounge.

MyNetwork TV Channel 17.2 will carry a portion of the debate live from 5:30pm to 7pm, and clips will be run all week on both WTVO-17 and WQRF-39 newscasts.
