Washington, D.C. - The Supreme Court refuses to hear a challenge from state republicans wanting Illinois' new legislative map thrown out.
Republicans say the map was redrawn by the democrats in a way to force long-standing party members against each other in the March primary. They also called it unconstitutional.
Political boundaries are redrawn every 10 years based on the U.S. census.
