Byron, Illinois-Local high school golf teams were shooting to make Sectional action Tuesday by competing in Regional Tournaments. The top three teams in each Regional would advance to Sectionals.
At the 1A Aqin Regional Byron finished first followed by Aquin and Dakota. Aquin's Cullen Barkau was medalist with a 77.
At the 1A Le-Win Regional Stockton finished first followed by Fulton and Morrison. Cameron Upman of Stockton was the medalist with a 74.
At the 2A Stillman Valley Regional in Byron Freeport won with a 332. Genoa finished second and Belvidere North third. Adam Werntz of Freeport was the medalist with a 74.
At the 2A Dixon Regional Sterling won followed by Ottawa.
At the 3A Prairie Ridge Regional McHenry won followed by Hononegah and Boylan.
