West Nile Virus Cases Up Statewide

Six people are dead after being infected by the West Nile Virus this year, doubling the total from last year.
The State Dept. of Public Health says nearly 200 people have been sickened by the virus. Health officials say the mild winter and hot summer made for ideal breeding conditions for mosquitoes.
