Many Janesville residents will attend viewing parties Thursday. Despite his run for Vice President Ryan hasn't given up on his campaign for Wisconsin's first congressional district.

Both Ryan and Rob Zerban are still campaigning despite the buzz around the Romney-Ryan ticket.

Residents are excited a local candidate could be headed for the White House putting Janesville on the map. But now that Ryan's agenda is under a microscope many Janesville area residents say his policies are too extreme.

Janesville Resident Yuri Rashkin says "now that his ideas actually have a chance of becoming a reality I don't think that I can afford to vote for him anymore."

Paul Ryan's campaign manager Kevin Seifert explains "it's exciting times I think folks in Wisconsin in the first district are really excited to vote for Paul. It's a unique opportunity it's never happened before to have a candidate be on the ballot for congress and as governor Romney's nominee."

Ryan spent the weekend in southern Wisconsin in Racine and Kenosha. Seifert says his spirits are high and he's looking forward to the debate.
