The 28th annual "Head of the Rock" Regatta had a successful,
albeit very wet run this Sunday. The yearly event featured over 2000 athletes
in more than 600 boats. Teams for the race came from all over the U.S. including Canada . Event coordinator John
Faber says that not only is the event a "fun time" but it brings a lot of money
to the Rockford
area. So far, according to Faber, the event has grown every year, and now there
are talks of expanding into a two day race.
