Rockford - Students at Rock Valley College learn how to defend themselves.
Interactive booths were setup so students could learn first-hand how to handle a dangerous situation. For instance, school police officers showed them how to disarm a gunman. Organizers say it's a much better teaching tool than just handing out pamphlets.
It's the first public safety campaign of its kind at RVC.
