The hospital has dispelled concerns that arose yesterday when the FDA listed OSF as a facility that had purchased medications from the New England Compounding Center.
OSF maintains that the public is not at risk because they did not purchase any injectable products from NECC.
The two products were purchased from NECC were a topical gel and a diagnostic nebulization agent. Neither of these medications has been associated with any fungal contamination, and they are not administered by injection.
