October 31, 2012 (BELOIT) -- Last minute campaign efforts are underway at the Obama for America campaign office in Beloit.

Vice President Joe Biden will be in town on Friday at Aldrich Middle School.

WTVO caught up with students there, and they said, they can't wait for the Vice President's visit.

Ian-Jelicca Hopson is looking forward to seeing Vice President Joe Biden when he makes a campaign stop at Aldrich Middle School.

"I'm really really really excited. I like... I can't believe he's coming. I mean, it's Beloit. It's like most people don't even know where that is on the map," said Ian-Jelicca Hopson.

Latest poll numbers show, Rresident Barack Obama with the lead over Governor Mitt Romney by 2% points.

Volunteers for the Obama campaign are making calls and knocking on doors with hopes to secure a victory for Obama on election day.

"We're just gonna assume that we need to do the work that needs to be done in the next 6 days, and see what happens so we're hoping it's going to go well," said Renee Gagner.

Whatever the outcome might be, the principal at Aldrich is hoping students will remember the V.I.P. experience.

"I think that a lot of people would be like, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and some of them look at that moment, and it's going to be something they remember from middle school and here on out," said Mike Smullen.

The experience on Friday is an experience 8th grader Kihya Martin said, she will never forget.

"They could have went anywhere else in the whole United States, but they chose to come to Aldrich Middle School," said Martin.

The Vice President is also scheduled to make an apperance at Superior Middle School after his visit at Aldrich.
