Cherry Valley - Not everyone is a fan of Rockford Public Schools' $140 million plan to revamp the district.
Village President Jim Claeyssen says the current plan calls for the closure of Cherry Valley Elementary and the expansion of White Swan. Claeyssen says the expansion would force residents who live within the proposed borders of White Swan to move out of their homes.
Instead, he wants a second elementary school built.
Voters will decide the fate of the multi-million dollar plan in Tuesday's election.
