Chrysler is selling more cars. But, sales for the Belvidere-made Dodge Dart appear to be off target.
The automaker launched a major advertising campaign last month hoping to boost sales. Chrysler sold 5,455 Darts in October, only 200 more than September.
The Belvidere plant added a third shift to keep up with the expected demand. Economic analysts say there could be concern for layoffs if sales begin to decline.
