RVC Gets Rings 11/02/12

Rockford, Illinois-It wasn't a typical opening night for basketball at Rock Valley College Thursday. The RVC women's national championship basketball team from last season was honored. The ladies received their championship rings. A championship banner was also unveiled in the RVC Physical Education Center.
As for the games, RVC earned a split. This year's women's team defeated McHenry County College 66-39. But the men's team lost it's opener to McHenry 103 to 96. That game marked the coaching debut of RVC coach Craig Doty.
