Kane Co. - A firefighter is dead after being attacked by her newly adopted dog.
Dana Brown, 44, was found dead in her home Monday in Big Rock, that's a rural community southwest of DeKalb.
The sheriff's office says she was discovered by her husband with deadly bite marks to her neck from a bull mastiff they had recently adopted.
