Rockford Police Arrest Two In Home Invasion

Rockford Police Dectives obtained arrest warrants for Mechos C. Freeman and Nicholas M. Bryant.
Freeman was arrested on November 23rd, 2012 shortly after 4:00 PM in the 1300 block of 27th Street. Bryant was taken into custody at the Public Safety building on November 27th, 2012 shortly after 4:00 PM.
The two men are suspected of breaking into a residence at 1219 Burton Street on November 16th.
Shortly after 8:00 P.M. a victim, who was in the house, was shot in the leg by the suspects. They also shot and killed a dog. Police say that three suspects were involved in the incident.
Both men are charged with 3 counts of home invasion, aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
