Rockford's First Baby of 2013 Is A Girl

Update: Bussee has named her daughter "Cadence Lynn."

Rockford - The New Year usually means resolutions. But, for one local family, it's a brand new member to the clan.

31 year-old Naomi Bussee gave birth to her daughter at 12:34 am at Rockford Memorial Hospital.  It was an unexpected surprise since Bussee wasn't due until next week.  "When she was born I'm like, 'there's no way she could be the first baby'" Bussee says.  "It's 34 minutes after there's so many babies that are born we didn't even think about it."

Bussee hasn't decided on a name yet for her new daughter, her fourth child.
