ROCKFORD -- The Winnebago County Integrity Task Force has finished its investigation into the deadly police shooting of 18-year-old Logan Bell.  Details of their findings have been forwarded to State's Attorney Joe Bruscato's office for review, and have not been released publicly.

Bell was shot by officers Andre Brass, Phillip Statler and Jeremiah Cizerle on October 11th, 2012. They were responding to a call by relatives concerned Bell, who was developmentally disabled, might hurt himself.

The officers confronted Bell in the 1800 block of South Central, when witnesses say Bell pointed what appeared to be handgun at them. The officers fired several times, killing Bell at the scene. They later discovered Bell was in possession of a pellet gun.

All three officers were placed on paid administrative leafve.

The Office of the State's Attorney will now begin to review the investigation and make a determination whether there is justification to seek criminal charges against the officers before a Grand Jury.
