Newark Township- Around 5 A.M. Saturday,
Dezeray Eslinger, 27, was driving a Ford Focus when she struck a Chevy Tahoe slowing
to turn into a driveway on Highway 81 just a half mile west of S. Merlet Rd. in
Newark Township. The Chevy Tahoe slid into a near-by ditch. The driver Diana Grenawalt,
29, and her four year old son were uninjured.
Meanwhile,
Eslinger's Ford Focus was thrown into traffic where it was hit by another car, whose
three occupants are okay. Eslinger's car
then hit a mailbox and came to rest in a ditch. She was wearing a seatbelt and
transported to a local hospital. She's in stable but serious condition.
Police
say speed and slippery road conditions might have caused the accident. Highway
81 was closed for three hours while Wisconsin State Troopers reconstructed the
accident.
