Springfield - A move to give driver's licenses to illegal immigrants clears a hurdle of its own.
A house transportation committee voted in favor of the measure. It now goes to the full house for a vote. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) praised the committee's action.
Emanuel says the bill will make Chicago more welcoming for immigrants.
