Whiteside Co. - A man accused of going on a killing spree in 2008 wants a new trial.
Nicholas Sheley's lawyer says 89 judicial errors were made during his second murder trial. In November, Sheley was found guilty of killing 93 year-old Russell Reed of Sterling.
A judge will rule on the request next Wednesday, which is the same day Sheley is scheduled to be sentenced for the Reed murder.
Sheley is accused of killing eight people. He's already been convicted on two of them.
