Chicago - A radio station is slapped with a lawsuit.
Former Illinois First Lady Patti Blagojevich says the station illegally used her husband's photos on billboards.
FM 101 is the target of the lawsuit. Blagojevich says they're illegally profiting from the former Governor's notoriety. She's seeking $30,000 in damages. Merlin Media, which owns FM 101 responded to the lawsuit saying the actions of a disgraced public official are fair game. "To suggest that people can't talk about him, use his name, criticize him, applaud him in a public forum without paying... sort of strikes me as wrong" says Steve Mandell, the attorney representing Merlin Media.
Rod Blagojevich is currently serving a 14 year sentence for corruption.
