DeKalb County Sheriff Investigates County Club Theft

Police say the general manager at the Indian Oaks Country Club in Shabbona has been charged with stealing money from the club.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department was contacted by the country club in December to investigate a series of possible thefts by Christopher J. Paterson, 42. An investigation into the thefts revealed that Paterson had stolen more than $10,000, written more than $500 in unauthorized checks for personal use and failed to reimburse the club for five sets of golf clubs worth more than $500.
Paterson has since been arrested and transported to the DeKalb County Jail. He's charged with felony theft over $10,000 and two counts of theft of $500-$10,000.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing.
