Rockford Man Sentenced For His Second Murder

Rockford - A local man will spend the rest of his life in prison for murder.
Franklin Lofton, 28, was sentenced to natural life for killing Tyrone Dowthard in 2006 and he'll be ineligible for parole. Police say he held up Dowthward and tried to rob.
Lofton ended up shooting him instead. It's his second murder conviction.
