The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says that around 7:30 A.M. Monday a bus carrying eight high school aged students collided with a Frito Lay truck.

The accident occurred at the corner of Somonauk Road and Keslinger Road southeast of DeKalb.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office reports that the driver of the school bus, 77-year-old Ronald Bernard was westbound on Keslinger when he slid through a stop sign in icy conditions, hitting the Frito Lay truck being driven by 58-year-old Edward Hilgart.

No students were injured in the crash, but both drivers were taken to the hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries.  No citations were issued.

A portion of Keslinger Road was closed to allow crews to clean up the wreck.
