Lack Of Snow Cancels Sinnissippi Snow Sculpting Competition

A mild winter has contributed to the cancellation of the 27th Annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition. The competition had previously been postponed a week as organizers were holding out hope that snow would have accumulated over the weekend.
Twelve teams from Illinois would have competed to represent the state in the National Snow Sculpting Competition.
This marks only the third time the event has been canceled in its 27 year history.
