The town of Dixon
is once again turned upside down, this time with news of murder. 34 year old Yolanda
Sigler was found dead in her home yesterday afternoon; her husband upstairs bleeding
from an apparent botched suicide attempt.
"you wonder how something like this could have happened" Dixon Police Chief Danny
Langloss said. "There were signs that lead us to believe she had been dead for
quite sometime...at least a few hours". While police are trying to piece the
details together, they say their first priority is Yolanda's ten year old son;
the one who made the 9-1-1 call in the first place. Langloss says "we're
working with family and the DCFS to make sure he has everything he needs".
An autopsy for Yolanda Sigler is scheduled for Tuesday, police hoping its results can give
them some of the answers they're looking for.
