Rockford, Illinois-The IceHogs are used to having players come and go between Rockford and Chicago. That's life in the AHL. But losing eight players in the span of one week to the Blackhawks isn't normal.

That's life for now with the sudden end of the NHL lockout.

As of Tuesday the IceHogs had only 19 players available to suit up for a game. That's one short of what they normally dress. Fortunately they don't have a game until Friday night. By that time some players should be returned to the team from the Blackhawks.

The players who are in Rockford try not to let any of this uncertainty phase them.
