Rockford, Ill. - The American Hockey League announced on Thursday that Rockford IceHogs forward Martin St. Pierre and defenseman Adam Clendening were selected to the 2013 Dunkin' Donuts All-Star Classic.

Both St. Pierre and Clendening will represent the IceHogs and the Western Conference in Providence, R.I. for the Pepsi AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, Jan. 27 and the AHL All-Star Game on Monday, Jan. 28.

In his 9th professional season, St. Pierre will appear in his fifth AHL All-Star Classic. Earlier this season, the IceHogs captain became just the 83rd player in AHL history to notch 500 career AHL points and is currently two shy of reaching 600 career professional points. The Embrun, Ont. native also represented the IceHogs at the 2008 All-Star Classic in Binghamton, N.Y. where he accumulated three points, including a goal and a pair of assists.

Thus far on the campaign, St. Pierre has paced Rockford skaters with 33 points and holds a share of the team lead in assists, 19, which he shares with Clendening.

Clendening, 20, has appeared in 35 contests during his rookie season and ranks fourth on the IceHogs with 23 points, including four goals and 19 assists. The Niagara Falls, N.Y. native ranks tied for second in the AHL amongst rookie skaters in assists and ranks second amongst AHL rookies in power-play assists (11).
