A group of student volunteers at Seth Whitman Elementary School have named themselves the "A-Team". Their mission is to work with autistic students during free time such as before school and during recess.
The concept behind the mission is a form of reverse inclusion; if an autistic student can't be included in normal classrooms with peers, then why not bring those peers into the special education setting?
"A-Team" members connect with autistic students on educational, social, and behavioral levels.
