Rockford firefighters
worked to put out the apartment blaze in the 1100 block of North Church Street. The building houses
four different families. When departments arrived on scene they found the fire
in a first floor bedroom and got the fire under control in 10 minutes. Two
adults and one child are being helped by the Red Cross. Fire Chief Charles martini
says the fire caused $20,000 dollars in damage.
The cause is thought to be electrical. No one was inside the apartment at the time of the fire.
