Frigid Temps Lead To Missing Freeport Woman's Death

The Lafayette County Coroner's Office says that Mary T. Scudder, 77, died of hypothermia.
Police received a call Saturday informing them that Scudder had gone missing. An abandoned vehicle matching the caller's description was seen sitting off Old Q Rd. in Argyle Township. Police searched the area and found Scudder's body in a wooded area about 30 feet from her car.
Scudder was pronounced dead on the scene.
