With temperatures reaching below freezing, people aren't the only one who have to worry about the cold, apparently our pets do too. Sue Golan from the P.A.W.S. organization says stateliner shouldn't be fooled by their layer of fur, our pets are very exposed. She tells us, "we've had quite a few cases of frostbite"

Golan says the amount of time animals should be exposed to this type of whether should be very limited; adding that "if youre going to have a pet, a pet is supposed to be a part of your family, not out on its own".

Golan says if you must keep your animals outside, use a few of these tips: 1) make sure your dog house is insulated and can keep a dog warm. 2) after walks check their paws for ice and salt, and remove any if seen. 3) constantl replace bowl with fresh water in case it freezes. 4) if you have a cat, its best to keep them indoors!
