Rockford Man Faces Felony Drunk Driving Charges

Howard Castleman, 44, was involved in a crash Wednesday night that killed Ryan E. Martin, 34, of Sugar Grove and injured five others.
Castleman is charged with felony aggravated driving under the influence and taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital. He was then transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
His was traveling - under the influence of drugs -- south on Route 23 near Lloyd Rd. when he drove into the oncoming lane and hit a truck head on. Two other vehicles collided with the truck.
Others involved in the accident were taken to Kiswaukee Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
