Rockford - It's only January, but plans to celebrate America's birthday are already underway.
Mr. 4th of July, Joe Marino, held a brainstorming session this morning. The crew discussed everything from the parade to the fireworks. This year's show will be Marino's 50th on the job and he promises it'll be the best one yet. "It's never too early to start planning a show of this size" says Marino. "[Especially] when you're entertaining some 100,000 people downtown."
The day will start with an 8K run through downtown and end with the fireworks at 9:30.
