United Way of Rock River Valley Now More Volunteer Friendly

Rockford - The local United Way just got more web-friendly.

United Way of Rock River Valley announced its new web-based volunteer program.  It allows organizations in need to match up with volunteers and donors.  Schools and businesses can also
track their student or employee volunteer hours.

"This will provide the community really with a one stop shop for volunteer opportunities" says Anna Kaye, Volunteer Center Director for the United Way.  "Organizations that might not necessarily have the resources to go out and recruit their own volunteers can rely on United Way's volunteer center to help them do that."

Volunteers can even share their experiences through Facebook and Twitter.
