Man Accused Of Public Corruption Allowed To Vacation In Mexico

Mark Bixby pleaded not guilty in federal court today to charges of public corruption. 

Judge Mahoney is allowing Bixby and his wife to go on a vacation to Cancun, Mexico which was planned 2 years in advance. 

Bixby is scheduled to return from vacation on February 9th.  He's ordered to relinquish his passport the next day.

According to the indictment, Bixby defrauded contractors out of more than $50,000 in funds and benefits.  He also accepted bribes from the contractors and extorted a heating contractor out of $2,980.

A pre-trial motion has been scheduled for March 14th.
