Good news for thousands of illegal immigrants living in the state. They'll soon be able to get a driver's license.

Gov. Pat Quinn (D) signed off on the bill yesterday.  The move will allow them to apply for a three year temporary license.  Many lawmakers support it.

But, opponents question if there are enough safeguards in place to avoid identity fraud and other pitfalls.  "This bill is not just about driver's licenses" says Rep. Ed Aceved (D-Chicago).  "It's about equality for all."

One undocumented driver says she grateful the Governor signed the bill.  "Now, I will be able to drive without being frightened when I see the police behind me" says Pena Flores.  "I'm not a criminal."

Illinois is the fourth state to allow illegal immigrants to drive.
