Rockford's Discovery Center Receives Grant

Rockford - A sizeable grant to help at-risk Stateline preschool kids learn more about science.
The Discovery Center Museum accepted a $30,000 today from PNC Bank to support early childhood programs. The grant will fund field trips to the museum and hands-on science projects.
Without the donation, many at-risk kids would go without the benefits of an early science education.
