Belvidere Teenager Charged with Murder after Early Morning Stabbing

Belvidere- Jaime Page, 19, is charged with stabbing her fianc to death early this morning. Around 6 A.M. this morning officers responded to the 200 block of garden drive in Belvidere for a stabbing. The stabbing victim, Jacob Vanzant, 20, of Belvidere was transported to OSF where he later died. Page was taken into custody at the scene. Belvidere police detectives executed a search warrant at page's residence.  Page and Vanzant lived together and were engaged. The investigation is ongoing. If convicted she'll face 20 to 60 years in jail. Page remains in custody at the Boone County Jail.

It will be a shame if this poor girl has to sit years, for defending herself from domestic violence!!!! This is just to sad!!!! There is way to much of this going on in our country! I really hope she does not have to pay with her life.... For simply wanting to live. No she wasnt perfect. But who is???? Who hasnt made mistakes??? Doesnt mean she deserved getting beat on by someone who claimed to love her!!!! I really hope for her sake, this is all taken into consideration! Before they Judge her & take what life she has left!
