Armed Robbery at Poplar Grove Bank

Poplar Grove- At 10:05 A.M. Saturday morning Boone County Sheriff's Department responded to an armed bank robbery. Two suspects entered the Poplar Grove State Bank at 13565 Rt. 76 and displayed black handguns. The suspects ordered bank employees to lie on the ground. There no customers inside the bank during the robbery. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the bank.

The suspects are males wearing dark clothing--they left in a vehicle. The F.B.I and Illinois State Police are assisting with the investigation.
