Dixon - A ranch once owned by the city's former comptroller, Rita Crundwell, was bought by her nephew.
The 88 acre quarter horse ranch property sold for $1.1 million. Rick Humphrey and his wife hope to use the property to expand their cattle business. He says he took out a loan from a Dixon bank and that none of the money came from Crundwell.
The U.S. Marshals Service, which was overseeing the sales of Crundwell's property, says no advantage was given to Humphrey.
Crundwell pleaded guilty to stealing $53 million from the city. She faces up to 20 years in prison.
