Small Town Rocked by Double Shooting

A quiet
The
Rock County SWAT team discovered a man in his seventies with a self inflicted
gun shot wound severely injured. In the large barn a woman in her early sixties
found dead.
A
neighbor says the man who lived in the 6700 block of Stuart is Dan Bellard. Neighbors
called him "Danny" and say he was a retired painter and stock car
racer. They mention he lived there with his wife.
Sheriff
Spoden says "it appears from out initial investigation that there was some
type of altercation."
The
man and now suspect in the shooting was flown to UW hospital and is in critical
condition.
Sheriff
Spoden says "it's these moments that I know about these communities,
especially this community is that they're very close knit they care about each
other and they're going to be there for each other. And I want the citizens to
know that we're going to be there for the community."
