Rockford, Illinois-The IceHogs have been an up and down team this season. They're due for an up-tick. The Hogs snapped a six game losing streak with a dramatic come-from-behind 11 round shootout win in Texas Tuesday.
They hope that will be the spark that gets them going. The guys say they never want to flirt with another six game losing streak.
"Obviously you get pretty frustrated during it (the streak)," said winger Jeremy Morin following practice Thursday. "That's the time you just have to stick together. We weren't playing bad hockey. We were losing one goal games. We weren't finishing the job. We need to go a little harder and dig a little deeper."
"We have eight new players in the lineup in Texas," said coach Ted Dent. "We're still trying to get our groove and find the identity of this group. We have to stick with it."
The IceHogs will play in Peoria Friday night. They'll finally play a home game Saturday night against Houston.
