Rockford Charity Receives $10,000 Donation

Cherry Valley - It's a big day for a local non-profit agency.
The Haven Network was awarded a $10,000 grant by the Rockford New Car Dealers Association. The ceremony took place at CherryVale Mall during the Auto Show.
The Haven Network is a peri-natal hospice and bereavement center helping families who've faced terminal diagnosis of premature or newborn babies. Haven says the money will be put to good use. "I was humbled and thrilled to receive this money" says Kathy Way, Director of Family Services of the network. "It means a lot. We're a frugal, small organization and that money will go a very long way."
Kathy wrote an essay as part of the grant consideration. The Haven Network is celebrating its 10th year in Rockford.
