Man Arrested for 6th OWI Offense

JANESVILLE: A Janesville man was arrested for his 6th OWI early Sunday morning. A Janesville police officer pulled over 35-year-old David Dutcher after records indicated he was driving while revoked and had several previous OWI convictions. It turned out Dutcher was driving the car of a man with eight OWI convictions, but that he himself had five and was driving without a license.
Dutcher initially denied drinking and driving, but the officer reported he smelled of alcohol and was showing signs of impairment. A breath test was given showing he had been drinking, although the BAC amount was not released.
Dutcher is being held in the Rock County Jail on Felony OWI 6th Offense and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License.
