Lawmakers say it's too dangerous for teenagers to tan. A new proposal would ban anyone under 18 from using tanning beds.
And it wouldn't matter if a parent signs a waiver saying it's okay, because that would be illegal too.
Critics say the government shouldn't be deciding what people can and can't do. Some tanning salons are also worried about how the ban would impact business.
