Rockford Woman Shot in Home

A woman is shot in her home late last night by who she thinks may have been her ex-boyfriend.
It happened just
before midnight at
Police say the woman had just returned home when a man confronted her at the back door of her apartment.
He then pointed a long barreled revolver at her from outside and fired one shot through the screen door.
The bullet struck the victim's index finger of her right hand.
She had no injury other than the loss of her nail.
