DeKalb - NIU Police Chief Donald Grady has been fired.
Many hailed Grady as a hero for his actions during the NIU mass shooting five years ago. It comes after he was on paid administrative leave for the department's alleged misconduct in a high-profile rape case.
Grady's attorney says they will fight the school's decision.
