Update: Beloit College Lockdown

Beloit Police officers investigated an armed suspect call Thursday night at prompted Beloit College to go on lockdown. 

Police searched a parking garage of an apartment building in which an armed suspect was chased into by cops.  In the garage, they found a .380 caliber handgun believed to have been used by the suspect, Jose R. Rodriguez. 

Drugs recovered in an earlier search of the apartment were found to be 6.5 grams of powder cocaine.  Investigators were able to determine that the cocaine belonged to Jose also.

Rodriguez has been charged with Disorderly Conduct while Armed, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Cocaine (2nd offense), Prohibited Acts B (drug house) and Resisting an Officer.

Jose Rodriguez is being held in the Rock County Jail and will make a court appearance on Monday.
